Real Madrid beat Leganes with a late Marco Asensio goal to take the advantage into their Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg back at the Bernabeu.

Crisis-hit Real's fans wanted something to cheer about with this just their second win in their last six games, and neither of them concinving.
Nevertheless, Asensio's 90th-minute strike delivered the win in a performance that won't have instilled any fear for their places in Real forward stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

Harry Kane grabbed another hat-trick and broke the record for the most Premier League goals scored in a calendar year as Tottenham thrashed Southampton at Wembley.
